EV Charger Installation in Fort Myers
A Level 2 charger turns overnight into a full battery, if your panel can handle it. We check that first, then install the charger your car actually needs.
State Certified Electrical Contractor · EC 13012575 · Licensed & InsuredLevel 2 Charging, Done to Code
We install home EV chargers across Fort Myers and Lee County: Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, Emporia, or the hardwired unit your car brand recommends, on its own dedicated circuit and mounted where the cable actually reaches the charge port.
A hardwired charger requires a permit in Lee County. We handle the permit and inspection as part of the job, with the same care we bring to panel work, because a charger draws more power than almost anything else in the house.

We Check Your Panel First
A fast charger on a panel already feeding the AC, a pool pump, and a dryer can push an older electrical service past its limit, which is how chargers end up knocking the power out at 2 a.m. We check what your panel can handle before quoting, not after installing, so the answer is math, not hope.
If the panel has the room, the charger goes in on its own circuit sized to the car. If it doesn't, you'll know up front, with real options: a smart charger that shares capacity with the rest of the house, or a panel upgrade sized for the charger and whatever comes after it.
What a Circuit Buys You
- Standard outlet (Level 1, 120V)~3–5 mi of range/hr
- 30A circuit (Level 2, 240V)~18–25 mi/hr
- 50A circuit · 40A charging~30–37 mi/hr
- 60A hardwired · 48A charging~34–44 mi/hr
Typical ranges. What your panel can handle decides the right choice.

EV Charger Questions
Do I need a permit to install an EV charger at home?
Yes. A hardwired Level 2 charger requires a permit and inspection in Lee County. We handle both; you never deal with the county yourself.
Can my panel handle a Level 2 charger?
That's the first thing we check. Many Fort Myers homes with newer panels carry a charger fine; older 100-amp panels usually can't. We check first and quote both paths if it's close.
Which charger should I buy?
If you drive a Tesla, the Wall Connector is the straightforward choice. For everything else, a universal Level 2 unit like ChargePoint or Emporia works across brands. Buy the charger after we've checked your panel: it decides how much charging speed is worth paying for.
